What it is
One conversation. No audience.
The Circle is a closed salon: phones down, one conversation. The model is the French cercle and salon, a room of people who already know each other, talking without an audience. On a ship the nearest rooms are the mess and the wardroom. Six friends, four private cabins, the boat closed to anyone else. Fishing only if you want it. This is the stay written for one circle.
On this boat
How it runs.
This is concept staging, not a booking. You take the whole boat. Six guests. A hired, licensed 6-pack captain. Crew sleeps in a closed cabin. Ports are West Ocean City or Cape May.
The salon is closed. Phones stay down. One conversation, at the table or on deck. The next morning is coffee and inlet air. There are no bookable dates yet.
What it is not
Not a secret society.
This is not a secret society. No initiation, no password, no ritual. It is a closed salon for people who already belong to each other. The boat is the room. The talk is the night.
Roots
Cercle, salon, wardroom.
The French cercle and salon were rooms for conversation, not performance. On a ship the mess and the wardroom did the same work: one table, one talk, no audience from outside.
