What it is
Timed to the moon.
Full Moon is a night timed to the spring tides that run at new and full moon. On this coast the striped-bass window around a full moon is often three or four days. In 2026 the Sturgeon Moon falls on 28 August, the Harvest Moon on 26 September, and the Hunter's Moon on 26 October. The Harvest Moon is known for long evening light. You would set the stay to the moon, not to a random Saturday. This is an add-on to a stay.
On this boat
How it runs.
This is concept staging, not a booking. Six guests. Night only. A hired, licensed 6-pack captain stays aboard. Crew sleeps in a closed cabin. Ports are West Ocean City or Cape May.
The stay would be set to the moon. Moonrise on deck. A night run if the water and the captain allow it. Late on deck, no itinerary. There are no bookable dates yet. Leave a note if you want this when a real calendar exists.
What it is not
Not a werewolf party.
This is not a werewolf party. No costumes, no howling, no theme playlist. It is a night run under a hard white moon, timed to tide and fish. The name of the moon is an almanac name. It is not a costume brief.
Roots
Spring tides, long evening light.
Spring tides rise at new moon and full moon. On the Mid-Atlantic, striped bass often move on a three-to-four-day window around those tides. In 2026 the named moons on this calendar are Sturgeon on 28 August, Harvest on 26 September, and Hunter's on 26 October. The Harvest Moon keeps a long evening light.
