What it is
Wrecks on this coast.
A dive day on this coast means Mid-Atlantic wrecks, not a reef wall. Off Ocean City, the USS Blenny sits at about 70 feet. Off Cape May, the City of Athens, lost in 1918, sits at about 110 feet. Visibility is commonly 10 to 30 feet. Water temperatures run about 50 to 65 degrees Fahrenheit. The season is mid-May through November. Marlaina is not a certified dive operation. This is an add-on to a stay, imagined only for certified guests with a hired dive operator.
On this boat
How it runs.
This is concept staging, not a booking. Marlaina is not a certified dive operation. A dive day would run only with a hired dive operator and certified guests. Six guests take the whole boat. A hired, licensed 6-pack captain stays aboard. Crew sleeps in a closed cabin. Ports are West Ocean City or Cape May.
The captain runs the boat. The hired operator runs the dive. You still sleep aboard. The night is still the product. There are no bookable dates yet. Leave a note if this is the extra you would add. That is interest, not a booking.
What it is not
Not a PADI school. Not the Caribbean.
This is not a PADI school. Marlaina does not certify divers and does not run its own dive operation. It is not a Caribbean dive trip. The water is 50 to 65 degrees. Visibility is 10 to 30 feet. It is not a swim off the transom with rented tanks, and it is not for uncertified guests.
